Dr. Lee graduated from the Department of Medicine, National Defense Medical Center, Taipei, Taiwan in 1973. He was part of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program in Tri-Service General Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan from 1976-1980, and became an attending physician of Diagnostic Radiology in 1981. He received Fellowship training in the Division of Diagnostic Ultrasound at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, U.S.A. in 1982. From 1985-1989, he was chief of division of the Diagnostic Ultrasound of Tri-Service General Hospital. Then, he retired from army service in 1989, and moved to Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Taichung, Taiwan, as chairman of the Department of Radiology. From 2003-2006, he was assigned as president of Su-Ao and Yuan-Shan Veterans Hospital, Yi-Lan, Taiwan, and from 2006-2008, as president of Chia-Yi and Wan-Ciao Veterans Hospital, Chia-Yi, Taiwan. In 2008, he was promoted to deputy superintendent of Taichung Veterans General Hospital and worked there until 2012, and then became superintendent of Taichung Veterans General Hospital in 2012 where he stayed until 2014. Currently, he holds the following positions: chief strategy officer of Tungs’ Taichung MetroHabor Hospital, Taichung, professor of radiology at the National Defense Medical Center, Taipei, and professor of radiology at Chung Shan Medical University, Taichung. He is president of The Association for Healthcare Quality, Taiwan, Republic of China, and Taiwan Society of Ultrasound in Medicine. He is also a member of the Board of Taiwan Hospital Association.
