The Institute of Leadership at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI)
The Institute of Leadership at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) and the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland (RCPI) developed an interactive Patient Safety Online Programme for Doctors with funding from the Irish Health Service Executive.
The core of each module is a filmed case study based on real life events supplemented by video based input from patient safety experts including family and medical representatives.
Participants complete a series of interactive and reflective questions on key content during each module. Progression through each module is supported by a learning host and a commentary delivered by a professional voiceover artist. Each module is approximately 30 - 40 minutes in length and participants can complete multiple choice questions at the end of each module. Fellowship participants will receive RCSI certificate on the completion of the Patient Safety Programme and will be be able to claim 4 credit points towards their Fellowship award.
