Janne is Director of Division, Pharmacovigilance & Medicine Devices at Danish Medicines Agency. She has an MD obtained from the University of Copenhagen, is a specialist in Public Health Medicine, has a PhD and has a Masters in Health Management. For several years Janne has been an Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen as well as Odense University (now University of Southern Denmark) and has lectured at Copenhagen Business School.
Janne is one of the primary innovators in the field of quality and safety in the Danish Health care system. Over the past 25 years she has worked as a leader at national and regional level focusing on health care planning, accreditation and the innovation of quality and safety, as well as being the head of Department in the Danish Cancer Society, focusing on patient centrered care .
She is an elected member of the Board of ISQua over the past 6 years and was Chair of the Local Planning Committee for ISQua's 25th International Conference held Copenhagen in 2008. She has a broad international experience including being a temporary advisor for the WHO and presently being member of Dubai Quality Council.
Janne has published numerous scientific articles and contributed to, as well of edited several textbooks.
