Professor Yuichi Imanaka is Executive Board Member for Japan Council for Quality Health Care (http://www.en.jcqhc.or.jp/), and Professor and Head of Department of Healthcare Economics and Quality, Kyoto University Graduate School of Medicine (http://med-econ.umin.ac.jp/), since 2000. He was trained in the University of Tokyo (M.D., DrMedSci), and the University of Michigan (MPH, Ph.D). His main theme is to visualize and design the health care system and its future. He is engaged in several national and nation-level projects which methodologically include big data analytics, system simulation and design, and performance measures of institutions and regions. He was Executive Board Member (1997-2003) for ISQua. He is also on the boards of national academic societies for Health Administration, Public Health and Health Economics. He served as a member of International Hospital Federation & WHO study group on hospital sector reform, and a member of OECD & WHO Health Care Quality Improvement Network in the Asia Pacific Region (2012-2013).
