ISQua Regional Meetings

ISQua is committed to enhancing healthcare quality and safety worldwide, with a particular interest in Low and Middle income Countries. We draw on the expertise of our extensive global network to deliver relevant and quality advice and skills training.  Alongside partners such as WHO, URC and in collaboration with public and private sector national and local groups we arrange Regional Workshops. Our intention is to leave a lasting legacy and, in that regard, we interconnect various events to maximise the effectiveness of what we do. ISQua's first regional meeting was held in Ghana 2013 and the next Regional Meeting was in Colombia in May 2016 in partnership with Organización para la Excelencia de la Salud (OES).

BO'AO CN-HEALTHCARE SUMMIT 2018, 25th - 28th April 2018
Venue: International Conference of Bo’ao Asian Forum, Hainan, China

Since its beginning in 2013, the Quality Control Competition (QCC) Competition has become the most famous medical quality competition in China. It collects knowledge and encourages front-line medical staffs to be more proactive about quality management with technical tools. So far, more than 600,000 medical staffs nationwide have participated in the QCC events.

More than 50,000 projects about medical quality improvement have been proposed, and at least 200 of which have obtained national patents. Moreover 2,000 scientific articles and 8 monographs have been submitted to the event commission. This event attracts nearly 20,000 competitors each year to participate, and their outstanding items have been selected and shared further in other international events, such as the 2017 ISQua Annual Meeting in London.

Liu Tingfang, Professor from the Institute for Hospital Management of Tsinghua University, has developed two national standards for the QCC competition, and they are going to be adopted by the 2018 International QCC Competition.

These standards are the Problem Solving Type QCC Standards and Project Research Type QCC Standards.

Hospital teams from countries outside of China are welcome to take attend and take part in this competition. Every competition team will have 20 minutes to give an oral presentation on-site, and the winners will have the chance to attend ISQua 2018 annual meeting in Kuala Lumpur.
