The role of networks and collaboratives in developing and spreading quality improvement initiatives

The seminar will discuss the importance of having strong networks in sustaining and disseminating QI outcomes, featuring an overview of the topic from Dr Dominique Allwood from the Health Foundation and examples of successful paediatric networks including Making it Safer Together (MiST), Meds IQ and the Situation Awareness for Everyone (S.A.F.E) collaborative.

 Sino-German Forum

The spread of excellence in Health care in China and
Germany –through quality management and quality control

25th - 28th July 2017

The aims of the forum are:
1.To identify the current status of quality management/quality control mechanisms in health care systems in China and Germany, common challenges and differences.
2.To define areas of collaborations to improve the QM/QC systems in health care in both countries.
3.To develop mechanisms for spread of excellence in health care by education and clinical medicine: from academic environment to municipal and community levels.

Prof Hughes will be speaking on 26th July on 'How can we do experimental quality control in different countries?'

Dr Lachman will be speaking on 27th July on 'How can we improve medical quality control in developed countries and developing
countries: 30 years experience from the International Society for
Quality in Health Care'


Dr Groene will be speaking on 26th July on 'Patient centredness and quality improvement efforts in hospitals world wide.'

Prof Tingfang Liu will be speaking on 27th July on 'Chinese Hospital QCC in Healthy China 2030 strategy : From theory to Practice.'
