Knowledge, Network, Voice – Action
The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) educates, connects, and empowers professionals to lift quality standards everywhere.
Improving Quality in Healthcare Since 1985
The International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua) is a leading organisation dedicated to improving healthcare safety and quality worldwide. As a neutral, not-for-profit Community, we bring together clinicians, executives, policymakers, regulators, and patient advocates from across 80+ countries to support system-wide transformation.
Through our educational courses, membership programmes, globally recognised external evaluation, and yearly conference, ISQua gives healthcare professionals the tools, peer support, and global platform to turn knowledge into action.
Our Mission
To inspire and drive improvement in the quality and safety of healthcare worldwide through education and knowledge sharing, external evaluation, supporting health systems, and connecting people through global networks.
Our Vision
Our vision is to be the global leader of transformation in healthcare quality and safety for all.
Our Values
These are the core values that guide our organisation in the pursuit of higher quality healthcare.
Excellence
We keep learning, improving, and asking the hard questions – so we, and the people we work with, keep raising the bar in healthcare quality and patient safety.
Evidence-Based
Decisions, standards, and courses are grounded in peer-reviewed research and global case data – so you act on what works, not what’s fashionable.
Person-Centred
Patients and families co-design our guidance, ensuring that dignity, respect, and shared decision-making remain non-negotiable in every care setting.
Sustainability
Quality care must also be climate-resilient. We embed environmental stewardship into accreditation principles, education tracks, and advocacy.
Equity
We prioritise access for low- and middle-income countries, marginalised communities, and early-career professionals.
Integrity
Independent governance, open financial reporting, and conflict-of-interest safeguards keep our advice impartial and our reputation trustworthy.
ISQua’s 2022–2026 Strategy
Our current board-approved strategy focuses on 3 key strategic objectives to drive our mission more effectively:
- Increase Value: More relevant resources. Easier access to content. A brand-new website. We’re simplifying how you learn, connect, and get value from ISQua – every day.
- Extend Reach: Increasing access, supporting underserved communities, and ensuring diverse perspectives are part of every conversation.
- Strengthen Partnerships: Deeper partnerships. Joint projects. More shared knowledge. We’re teaming up with like-minded organisations to drive bigger change, faster.
