ISQua's successful Editorial Apprenticeship Programme is entering its third year, and we are accepting applications for our 2023 apprenticeship positions.

ISQua's peer-reviewed journals, the International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC) and IJQHC Communications (IJCOMS) will appoint two trainee Editors to the Editorial Apprenticeship Programme. This will be a one-year apprenticeship for aspiring future editors of scientific journals.

Requirements of applicants

• Evidence of publications in peer-review journals
• Evidence of being a reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal
• Academic affiliation
• Participation in research or quality improvement programmes
• Past experience of editing papers

The purpose of the International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC) is to make available, to a worldwide readership, activities and research related to quality and safety in health care. The Journal publishes papers in all disciplines related to the quality of health care, including health services research, health care evaluation, health economics, utilization review, cost containment and nursing care research, as well as aspects of clinical research related to the quality of care.

As well as being a cascade journal from the International Journal for Quality in Health Care (IJQHC), IJQHC Communications (IJCOMS) is an open-access, peer-reviewed, international journal that publishes research related to quality and safety in health care, with a focus on implementation science, for a worldwide readership.
